Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 15, 2026

1. Overview

Welcome to Toolsva (“we”, “our”, or “us”). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use our tools at this website.

Toolsva is a collection of free browser-based utilities including image tools, PDF utilities, developer tools, and calculators. The core principle of our service is privacy by design — the vast majority of our tools process your data entirely within your own browser, meaning files, text, and other inputs you provide are never uploaded to or stored on our servers.

2. Data We Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit personal information. Specifically:

  • We do not require you to create an account or provide your name, email, or any personal details to use any tool.
  • Files you upload (images, PDFs) are processed entirely in your browser and are never sent to our servers.
  • Text you type into tools (such as the JSON Formatter, Regex Tester, or Lorem Ipsum Generator) is processed locally and is never transmitted.
  • We do not use analytics tracking scripts or advertising cookies on this website.

The only exception is the Currency Converter, which fetches live exchange rate data from a third-party public API to provide up-to-date conversion results. This request carries no personal identifying information.

3. How Your Data Is Processed

All tools on Toolsva perform their computations client-side using JavaScript running in your web browser. This means:

  • Image compression and conversion happens in your browser memory — the image data is never sent over the network.
  • PDF merging and optimisation is handled by browser-based libraries — your PDF files are not uploaded anywhere.
  • Passwords generated by the Password Generator are created using your browser’s built-in cryptographic random number generator and are never transmitted.
  • Hashes created by the Hash Generator are computed locally using the Web Crypto API.
  • JWT tokens decoded by the JWT Decoder are parsed in your browser — the token string never leaves your device.

This architecture ensures your sensitive data — documents, credentials, tokens, or any other content you work with — remains entirely on your device.

4. Local Storage

Some tools use your browser’s localStorage or sessionStorage to preserve your state between page reloads or browser sessions. Examples include:

  • Recent colors used in the Color Picker (session-only)
  • Invoice Generator form data (so you don’t lose your work on refresh)

This data is stored only on your device and is accessible only by your browser for this website. It is never transmitted to us. You can clear this data at any time through your browser’s settings (typically under Settings → Privacy → Clear site data).

We do not use browser cookies for tracking or advertising purposes.

5. Third-Party Services

The website may load certain resources from external CDNs (such as Bootstrap Icons font files or web fonts). These CDN requests may log your IP address in accordance with the CDN provider’s own privacy policy. We do not control these providers and are not responsible for their privacy practices.

The Currency Converter tool sends a request to a third-party exchange-rate API. This request contains no personal data. The API provider’s own privacy policy governs any data they collect (such as server-side IP logging).

We do not integrate with social media platforms, advertising networks, or any other third-party tracking services.

6. Children’s Privacy

Toolsva is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Because we do not collect personal data from any user, no special category of children’s data is at risk. If you believe a child has provided information through this website, please contact us at the address below and we will address it promptly.

7. Your Rights

Because we do not collect or store personal data, there is no personal information about you held by us to access, correct, or delete. However, if you have any questions about data handling on this website, you are welcome to contact us and we will respond promptly.

Any locally stored data (localStorage / sessionStorage) can be removed by you directly at any time via your browser settings.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our tools or practices. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
