About this tool

A professional signature generator with two modes: Draw lets you sign with your mouse or touch screen exactly as you would on paper, while Typerenders your name in six hand-picked cursive fonts so you get a polished result without a steady hand.

Every signature is exported as a transparent-background PNG — the ink strokes float on nothing, so you can overlay them on any document, email template, PDF, or image without a white box. Type-mode exports are rendered at 2× resolution (1600 × 560 px) for sharp results even at large print sizes. No data leaves your device.

Pick from six preset ink colors or use the color picker for an exact match. In Draw mode, choose Fine, Medium, or Bold stroke width to match your style.

3

Sign or type

Draw tab: click and drag (or touch and drag on mobile) on the canvas. Type tab: type your name and the preview updates instantly across all six fonts.

4

Download transparent PNG

Click "Download PNG" to save a transparent-background PNG. Drop it into Word, Google Docs, Canva, Adobe Acrobat, or any image editor.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about creating, downloading, and using electronic signatures.

Yes. The canvas has no background fill, so when you download as PNG the background is fully transparent. You can drop it onto any document, email, or image and only the ink strokes (or typed text) will appear. JPEG does not support transparency, which is why the download is always PNG.

A PNG image of a signature is a visual representation only and is not a legally binding electronic signature under regulations such as the eSign Act or eIDAS. For legally binding e-signatures you need a dedicated service that records signer identity, intent, and an audit trail. This tool is suited for informal uses like emails, PDFs for personal use, website footers, and documents where a visual signature is acceptable.

The font preview in the selector buttons and the canvas preview both use the same font loaded from Google Fonts. Minor differences can appear at very small sizes due to browser anti-aliasing. The downloaded PNG is rendered at twice the screen resolution (1600 × 560 px) for maximum sharpness.

Yes. The canvas uses touch event listeners with passive scrolling disabled so your finger draws smoothly without accidentally scrolling the page. For best results on mobile, rotate your device to landscape orientation to give more horizontal space for your signature.

Yes — in Draw mode, all existing strokes are re-rendered in the new color when you change the ink. This makes it easy to try different colors without redrawing. In Type mode, the text color updates instantly.

In Draw mode the PNG is 800 × 280 px — the same as the canvas. In Type mode the PNG is exported at 1600 × 560 px (2×) so the text remains sharp at large print sizes. Both files are fully transparent-background PNGs.

No. Everything happens inside your browser. Your drawn strokes and typed name are never sent to any server. Closing the tab discards the signature permanently — download it before leaving if you need to keep it.
